Social discrimination...
What is considered normal?.
Do we have to behave "normal" or look "normal" To be able to become normal?.
This is one of the Social discrimination towards the "off- centre" or the "abnormal" people.
Why do we cast negative looks on poeple who are not acting normal?.
Why do we conndemn people when they just feel so happy and just wanna tell the world, and acted stupid?.
do we have to ask their permission before we could do anything stupid?.
why the mere mention of Mental patients scares people off?.
what are mental patients portrait as?.
a murderer? a thief? a retard? a smelly person who sits in the corner at the void deck?.
Why do we have to make negative remarks when we walk pass them?.
Have we, singaporean, or christian ever think of what they experience?.
One think to make it clear.
It is not a illness that they want.
they didnt want that to happen to them.
for some,
They fell into this sickness because they are too stressed or they have some traumatic experience that they have deeloped that illness.
and this also links to another point.
Some people laughed at them and exploit them.
for example,
they slap them, abuse them, make use of them and take advantage of them.
this is how cruel the world is.
For the other group of people,
Like those who are born with different condition.
some of us, like those who are born with curly hair or a defect on their body,
are laughed at and ridicule.
And what can we do/.
we can only stay silent.
why?
Because of the phrase" majority as aggressors."
This is why some of us are labelled " weird" and "abnormal" because we are NOT LIKE THEM.
When we are not like the "NORMAL"
We become the "abonormal"
This is what we are thrown at.
At school, on the MRT, at the bus stop, at the shopping mall.
"Normal" people,
Have never been ridicule for being "normal" because everyone looks the same.
they will never experience the type of feeling we get when we pass by them and they will laugh and all the things they said becomes unseemingly louder.
words like"weird" "disgusting" began to spurt out.
You will never feel the hurt and the shame.
We are Humans.
Why do you have to ridicule one another?.
we are just unique and this is the fact.
